Now a days, Emails are the main source for the Business and Personal Communication. So everyone wants to enhance the security of their important mails. In this blog, I will explain an easiest way to secure these mails by encrypting, using Secure/Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions (S/MIME). An encrypted message ensures that the content of the message has not been modified in between the communication process. The process of encrypting the email is quite simple and is explained below:
To perform the encryption, a Digital ID (Email Certificate) is required. You can download Digital ID (Email Certificate) from the source recommended by Microsoft but most of them are paid. If you want free Email certificate for the purpose of encryption then you can use COMODO (Free S/MIME Certificate Provider) for the encryption
To Configure the S/MIME certificate in Outlook follow the steps mentioned below:
To encrypt a message in Outlook at first click on the Option >> Permission group and then click on the Encrypt button. Now send the message to whom you want to send.
